BluPeak Credit Union launches BluPeakFoundation.org to Expand Access to Clean Water
BluPeak Credit Union, dedicated to clean water access, established the BluPeak Foundation to further support this important cause. The BluPeak Foundation has attained 501(c)(3) status and is now accepting donations and memberships online at BluPeakFoundation.org
San Diego, CA — [November 12, 2025] — BluPeak Foundation today announced the official launch of BluPeakFoundation.org, the new website for the BluPeak Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to clean, safe, and affordable water. The site launch marks a new chapter for the Foundation, which is now welcoming public donations and membership participation to help advance its mission.
Since its inception in 2024, the BluPeak Foundation has donated $27,500 in 2025 to organizations addressing the global water crisis through both emergency relief and long-term infrastructure projects. These contributions include $12,500 to Water.org to support WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) projects abroad, $5,000 to the American Red Cross to support wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles, $2,500 to charity: water for sustainable water projects globally, and $7,500 to DIGDEEP, a U.S.-based organization bringing clean running water to homes in underserved communities across the Navajo Nation, Appalachia, and the Colonias region. An additional $3,000 was awarded to San Diego Coastkeeper at the 2025 Seaside Soirée, an annual gala and fundraising event.
“Access to clean water is a fundamental human right and a critical step toward achieving social equity,” said Joseph McKone, Executive Director and President of the BluPeak Foundation. “With the launch of our website, we’re making it easier than ever for individuals, partners, and communities to join us in taking tangible steps toward sustainable water access for all.”
Charles Williams, Board Chair of the BluPeak Foundation added: “As a grandfather to five children, it’s important to me that we invest in sustainable solutions that both expand access to clean water and protect this precious resource for generations to come. BluPeakFoundation.org gives everyone a way to be part of that work.”
For Shelley Duckart, Foundation Director, the mission is deeply personal. “Having grown up in a drought-prone region and witnessing firsthand how water scarcity impacts communities, agriculture, and the environment, joining the Foundation was about protecting the future for the people and places I hold dear. Launching this site allows us to connect with others who share that same passion.”
The BluPeak Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. To learn more, become a member, or make a tax-deductible donation, visit BluPeakFoundation.org.
