Events
The Foundation participated in two major events in 2025: The San Diego CoastKeeper Seaside Soirée and the 41st Annual Coastal Cleanup Day!
At the 2025 Seaside Soirée, we were proud to both sponsor the event as well as participate. We heard from guest speaker Mario Ordoñez-Calderon, a Navy Veteran, Indigenous Mayan and Surfer dedicated to creating opportunities for underserved communities to experience the ocean’s transformative power. As the Executive Director of Un Mar de Colores, he is committed to nurturing the next generation of ocean stewards by providing free surf therapy, environmental education, and long-term mentorship for underserved youth!
We also had the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Joe LaCava, City Council President of District 1. He was unanimously elected by his colleagues as the President of the City Council, and chairs the Council’s Rules Committee, serves on the Environment Committee and is First Vice Chair on the SANDAG Board of Directors. President LaCava is a licensed civil engineer bringing extensive experience on land use, housing, infrastructure, climate change, and the environment.
At the 41st Annual Coastal Cleanup Day, Foundation Members participated at three beach locations: Del Mar Beach, Muir Beach, and Robb Field in San Diego with our BluPeak Credit Union friends. Together, we managed to pick up over 50 pounds of trash, making a real and tangible impact on our shared values and commitment to keeping water clean.
We’re truly grateful for everyone who participated or supported from afar, and we’re already looking ahead to the next opportunity to come together for another worthy cause!

Donor Acknowledgements
BluPeak Foundation is deeply grateful for the generosity of the donors whose support made this year’s work possible. In 2025, the Foundation received contributions through both unrestricted and donor-restricted giving, including support for:
💧 General Fund
💧 WASH – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
💧 Disaster Relief
💧 Keeping Water Clean
Every contribution helped expand the Foundation’s ability to support charitable organizations making measurable differences in communities and ecosystems. We thank all donors, advocates, and supporters for their trust, time and partnership.
Looking Ahead
In 2026, the BluPeak Foundation plans to build on the momentum of 2025 by:
- Continuing support for access to clean water programs and initiatives
- Expanding volunteer engagement and impact capacity
- Strengthening impact communication
- Exploring additional partnerships with high-impact nonprofit organizations
The BluPeak Foundation was founded on the belief that access to clean water should be a universal right, not a privilege. With over 2 billion people lacking access to safe drinking water globally, including millions of people here in the United States, we knew that the need for clean water was dire, and that investment was needed for sustainable solutions that protect public health and uplift underserved communities.
Working hand-in-hand with local communities and partners, we hope to directly address the deep-rooted socioeconomic inequalities that prevent people from reaching their full potential.
As we look to the future, we are committed to ensuring that our work leaves a lasting legacy, empowering communities and creating opportunities for generations to come.
